Basta poco, però, per cambiare il personaggio e uscire dalla toilette completamente trasformate. Tolto l’elastico, i capelli diventano vaporosi, al posto delle scarpe da tennis vertiginosi tacchi a spillo slanciano la figura, giarrettiere e guêpière sostituiscono jeans e maglietta. [...]
Quasi tutte le ragazze hanno un fidanzato fedele al quale nascondere la loro attività. La scusa più frequente per giustificare le assenze prolungate è di essere impegnate su un ipotetico set per servizi pubblicitari o di moda.
Questo non è il caso di Ellen, 21 anni ex modella moscovita, che non ha nascosto alla mamma sarta, scandalizzandola, la provenienza dei soldi guadagnati».

Nicola Casamassima tells about his journey in that very special world, and he does so in images and in writing: «When they arrive on stage they are breathless, and they all look pretty much the same: a schoolgirl look and an innocent smile.
It does not take much to them, though, to change their attire and they come out of the toilet room entirely different. Elastic band off and their hair becomes vaporous, high stiletto heels in place of the tennis shoes make their figure slender, garter belts and corsets replace their jeans and T-shirts. [...]
Almost all the girls have a faithful boyfriend to whom they have to hide their activity. Their most frequently used pretext to justify longer periods of absence is that of having been engaged for hypothetical advertising or fashion services.
This not the case for Ellen, aged 21, a former model from Moscow, who did not lie to her mother (who was shocked) as to where the money she was gaining came from».
